We work with self-builders, builders and contractors on new homes and buildings, from the first fix cabling through to second fix, fitting and final testing, keeping to the build programme and communicating clearly with the rest of the site.
What's involved
We work with self-builders, builders and main contractors on new homes, extensions and commercial buildings across Wicklow and the surrounding counties.
First fix: cable runs, back boxes and containment go in before plastering, to a layout agreed with you or your architect. Second fix: sockets, switches, lights, the distribution board and fixed appliances are fitted once the walls are finished. Then the whole installation is tested.
We keep to the build programme and talk to the other trades on site, so the electrics are ready when the plasterer, kitchen fitter or heating engineer needs them. It pays to involve us early: deciding lighting, data points, EV charging and outdoor power at drawing stage costs far less than adding them later.

When should I book an electrician for a self-build?
Before the walls go up, ideally while the drawings are being finalised. First fix has to happen before plastering, so agreeing the layout early avoids delays on site.
Can you work from my architect's drawings?
Yes. We can work from the electrical layout on your drawings, or help you put one together: socket positions, lighting, switching, outdoor power and an EV charger point.
Do you work for builders as well as homeowners?
Yes. We work directly for self-builders and as the electrical contractor for builders and main contractors.
